Malibu Office Apartment

This project transforms a former factory into a contemporary office environment for IT, web, and graphic design. The existing structural frame is preserved and emphasized, allowing for generous, open workspaces that support movement and close collaboration between teams. The concept draws inspiration from the visual culture of 1980s Malibu — referencing films, arcade games, and music — to create a relaxed, creative atmosphere where design can evolve freely. Natural light and abundant indoor greenery play a key role, aligning with WELL principles to enhance comfort and overall work quality. A pixel-inspired carpet introduces a subtle reference to the digital world, using green tones to echo nature and define a clear circulation axis. Warm materials such as wood balance the industrial character, resulting in a workspace that is both expressive and functional.
